Frequently Asked Questions

  • This is a critical question. Think of a layer cake, with each layer building on the next:

Layer 1: 50% of your buyer clients are also sellers, so as buyers are introduced to Whoovia, you can also consult your clients on how to begin building a list of potential buyers for their property.

Layer 2: Whoovia makes it easy for your buyers to share their listing with their personal offline network. This way, hundreds of people can begin advocating for them in the areas where your buyers want to live. By the way, now their SOI is also introduced to you!

Layer 3: Whoovia allows you, the agent, to easily share your buyer listings with your network. The way we see it, top agents are highly-trusted local businesses. Using Whoovia shows off your expertise, innovative approach, and status as a top player.

Layer 4: Now imagine these first three layers multiplied by, say 1000 buyers. As more top agents join Whoovia and list high-quality buyers, it will be almost impossible for any homeowner to avoid hearing about the buyers looking in their neighborhood.

  • As a fiduciary for your buyer clients, you don’t need a special agreement in place to send postcards to a neighborhood, pay for an ad on NextDoor, or post about the amazing buyer you represent on social media.

Whoovia is just another tool in your toolbelt in helping buyers find a home. On Whoovia, your buyer’s identity is just as secure as it is in any form of social media, advertising, or private network.

If you have any doubts about the use of Whoovia in advocating your your clients, be sure to consult with your broker.

  • That’s great! More than 50% of buyers are also thinking of selling. Your clients can have a personal profile that is associated with both a buyer listing as well as a home.

  • Here are the basic rules of the game:

All agents must qualify to be part of Whoovia and abide by fair housing laws and the laws of the jurisdiction where they are licensed.

Buyers can only access Whoovia through a Whoovia Agent partner.

All homeowners must claim their home in order to save buyer listings to their favorites or to engage in two-way messaging with agents about their buyer clients.

  • Well, this would be a silly thing to do, wouldn’t it?... But we get where this is coming from:

Other platforms have notoriously used agent data (property listings) to disintermediate agents from the leads that used to come to them as a result of having an active listing. These platforms then sell this data to the highest bidder.

With Whoovia, listers last. Agents who list buyers on Whoovia have the ability to connect to the sellers and buyers who inquire about their buyer listings. Simply put, Whoovia was created to support top agents in leveraging their buyer’s credentials to do more business, not to resell this data to your competition.

  • Definitely not. Again, this would go against our entire mission. In fact, agents who leverage Whoovia will enjoy exponentially more seller conversations per week (often called “upstreaming”) and leverage an even stronger value proposition to win over seller prospects.

    Ask yourself this:

Do you believe that if you had 5-10 times more conversations with off-market sellers you would represent fewer sellers?

Do you believe that if these sellers reached out to you because of the unique value you provided in the marketplace, they would somehow be less interested in working with you?

Do you believe that you would win more listing appointments if you showed sellers forward-looking data for their neighborhood (not just actives, under contract, and sold data) that you had personally curated?
